TON Tech, the infrastructure arm of The Open Platform, has launched an artificial intelligence agent designed specifically for Telegram, a platform with nearly 1 billion users. These agents aim to facilitate transfers, exchanges and staking, and operate through dedicated wallets into which users themselves can deposit funds, allowing automatic operation within defined budgets and basic portfolio management.
As part of this progress, the company introduced Agentic Wallet, an open standard within TON. These AI systems will allow you to manage your funds and perform financial operations directly.. Each agent has an independent wallet, which was previously funded by users, which limited the agent’s ability to act.
This model is non-custodial. This means that ownership of the assets remains in the user’s main wallet, but the agent can only operate within the allocated balance. This method puts total control in the hands of the user, so there is no need to share private keys or manually approve each transaction.
This development aims to resolve important limitations. AI agents can already analyze information, recommend strategies, and interact with users, but human intervention was still required to execute financial moves. With this new system, You can act more autonomously without compromising security.
According to TON Tech, the system can enable multiple use cases, from trading bots operating with predefined limits, to staking automation, portfolio management, recurring payments, and setups with multiple agents, each with their own budgets and capabilities.
For developers, the launch adds a new layer to the TON ecosystem, enhancing its offering of artificial intelligence-powered applications, digital wallets, and tools to accelerate adoption.
Andrew Grekov, director of TON Tech, emphasized to The Block that this progress marks a turning point. Agent quits being an assistant and becomes an actor Enables users to perform economic acts on their behalf without losing control of their assets.
