The Sei Development Foundation, an independent US nonprofit promoting open source permissionless protocols, announced that TMO Labs, a South Korean payment infrastructure company, will integrate its services with the Sei Network. The move aims to integrate blockchain technology into everyday payments in South Korea.
TMO Labs uses Sei as the core infrastructure behind the TMO wallet. Its wallet is already integrated with DaemDaem, a transportation and rewards application with a wide user base. This wallet is designed to connect to major local platforms such as Naver Pay, Payco, and other loyalty ecosystems.
This integration will allow users to hold blockchain-based assets, including stablecoins, directly in their TMO wallet. These assets can be linked to existing payment and reward systems and can be used for retail purchases, online payments, and transit top-ups.
