In a recent interview with CNBC, Ripple’s Chief Legal Officer Sturt Aldeoty has nominated some of the key barriers to crypto adoption based on the results of a recent survey conducted by the National Cryptocurrency Association (NCA).
He mentioned lack of education, negative perceptions about cryptography, and regulatory uncertainty amid the main reasons that some people hesitate to immerse their toes in cryptography.
Ripple’s top legal minds point out that the majority of survey respondents claim that Crypto had a positive impact on their lives.
Aldeloty claims that many findings surprised him. For example, he points out that more people are 55 and older than people under the age of 25.
“It’s not just siblings (crypto siblings) that cipher holders are women,” he said.
As Reported by U.Todaythe study, spotlighted by Ripple CEO Brad Garlinghouse earlier this week, revealed that Crypto had a positive impact on the majority of buyers. Naturally, investment remains the biggest use case, but an unexpectedly high percentage of crypto owners are also using their new assets for shopping purposes.
$50 million grant
It is worth noting that the launch of the NCA was supported by a $50 million grant from Ripple.
Aldeoty claims that the crypto holders were vilified under previous administrations. At the same time, he emphasizes that nonprofits remain apolitical and do not involve in lobbying.
“I felt it was important to measure encryption, make it more accessible and actually amplify the voices of everyday Americans who own it,” Aldeley said.
