MoneyGram, a leading global money transfer service, has partnered with Tempo to become the blockchain anchor money transfer validator.
The deal positions MoneyGram as a core validator within Tempo’s remittance network, enabling the integration of traditional remittance flows with blockchain infrastructure. The partnership aims to leverage distributed ledger technology to streamline the clearing and verification process for cross-border payments.
As an anchor validator, MoneyGram will participate in validating transactions on Tempo’s blockchain network dedicated to remittance operations. This role allows MoneyGram to have direct involvement in the underlying consensus and verification mechanisms of Tempo’s platform, giving traditional payments companies exposure to decentralized network infrastructure while maintaining compliance with existing regulatory frameworks.
Integrating with Tempo’s validator network will give MoneyGram access to blockchain-native payment capabilities, while allowing Tempo to benefit from MoneyGram’s established operational track record and regulatory relationships in the global remittance market.
