Binance has announced that it will be updating the tags of some crypto assets as part of its risk management practices on the platform. According to the announcement, a new token will be added to the “Monitoring Tag” list and one asset will be removed from the “Seed Tag” list as of April 14, 2026.
Therefore, the monitoring labels would include Harvest Finance, Highstreet, Enzyme, Resolv, Syscoin, TrueFi, and Velodrome Finance. Meanwhile, the seed label applied to Tether Gold will be removed.
Binance emphasizes that assets with surveillance tags come with higher volatility and risk compared to other listed tokens. Therefore, these projects are regularly reviewed and may be delisted if they do not meet the listing criteria.
Seed tags are typically used for early-stage projects. Removal of XAUT from this tag is interpreted as the asset meeting certain maturity criteria.
Experts say such label updates will help investors better assess risk, while also creating transparency and performance pressure on projects. Binance’s decision is seen as part of its strategy to maintain quality standards for assets listed on the platform and inform users of potential risks.
