famous bitcoin influencer A tearful plea from the people Losing X’s monetization led to it being brutally shut down by tech founder Nikita Via. Nikita Via exposed the use of secondary account networks by creators.
One of X’s most followed crypto influencers has been hit by the social media platform’s strict monetization rules.
On Thursday, crypto creator The ₿itcoin Therapist, who boasts over 260,000 followers, published a long and rather desperate post revealing that X monetization has been permanently suspended. Account has been suspended for fraudulent activity (manipulation and spam).
Oh, what a shame. You may be able to monetize any of the other three Bitcoin accounts you use to cross-promote this account.

meltdown and sacrifice
The ₿itcoin therapist detailed in a six-paragraph post the extreme efforts he went through to grow his account’s followers from zero to 260,000 in five years.
He claimed to spend 6-12 hours per day on the app while working a full-time job. The creator admitted that he prioritized X over major life events.
The “therapist” said he was active online during holidays, vacations and even during a trip where he proposed to his girlfriend of seven years.
According to the creator, he had just given notice that he was quitting his full-time job to focus on X full-time.
He denied the spam allegations, calling them merely “false inferences” that are unacceptable.
beer roast
This emotional plea caught the attention of Nikita Beer, a technology founder known for her viral consumer apps and head of product for the X social media platform.
Beer showed little sympathy for the plight of the creators. “Oh, that’s too bad,” Bea replied. “You may be able to monetize one of the other three Bitcoin accounts you are using to cross-promote this account.”
The ₿itcoin therapist continued to defend his alternative account network. He admitted he operated three other accounts, but insisted there was “no secret”, saying two had been inactive for several months and the third was simply a reused newsletter account. He claimed these accounts had less than 3,500 total followers and little engagement, making it a failed strategy.
The Bitcoin community is largely on Beer’s side, urging the admin of the account, which has 260,000 followers, to focus on creating high-quality content instead of sloppy posts.
