The US dollar remains dominant as the global reserve currency, and the Stable Coin will become a tool to ensure it is generated, as recently declared by Treasury Secretary Scott Bescent of the US Treasury Department.
However, the scale of Stablecoin adoption may be far beyond current expectations. If Stablecoin Aum expands to trillions, the rest of the Crypto market will need to adapt to the new reality.
John Deaton, well known for Crypto Legal Sulcels and advocate for XRP holders in a class action lawsuit against the SEC, took it and tied the dots into Ripple’s latest move. He pointed to the projection of Ripple CEO Brad Garlinghouse. StablecoinMarket has expanded 10 times over five years.
According to @bgarlinghouse from @blockworksdas, Stablecoin will have a market capitalization of 10 times within five years. Brad seemed to suggest that this presumption was conservative. There’s a reason why @Ripple created his own Stablecoin. And when you hear what… https://t.co/6wyoukzkn1

Even the estimate may be too conservative, according to Deaton. When clarity of regulations arrives, some of the world’s most powerful banks will step in through their own stubcoins, creating a landscape where multiple players compete in trillions of industry.
Ripple’s rlusd stablecoin
That’s where RLUSD, the RIPPLE’s Stablecoin, enters the equation. At large institutions with increasing interest in adopting Stablecoin, Ripple’s decision to launch RLUSD appears to be a simple extension, and the steps required to remain relevant in a space where the impact is determined by who controls the largest, most reliable, and most widely used digital dollars.
Numbers reinforce this perspective. The current Stablecoin market is valued at $233 billion, but Garlinghouse estimates to be $2.8 trillion by 2030. RLUSD has been around for only three months, but already has an asset of $169.71 million, with daily trading volume of $2,214 million.
This is just the beginning, and as the Stablecoin sector expands, Ripple’s role within it could become much larger than it is today.
