Czech Prime Minister Petr Fiara has denied that his government is underestimating $47 million in Bitcoin (BTC) donations from convicted criminals.
Fiara gave a speech today in the Czech Parliament, where he described the donation as “an unnecessary issue that could have been prevented.”
As Ceske Noviny reported, Fiara “is not clearing anything under the carpet, so we are ready to respond to what is being shown or displayed.”
The offender convicted of drug charges against his name has donated BTC to Pavel Blazic, the Minister of Justice at Cekia. Millions sold Early this year. Blažek then resigned on May 30, with opposition members urging an unconfident vote for Fiala.

Today, Fiara admitted that Blazek was not fully skeptical about the donation and resigned after failing to properly assess the situation. Fiara added that the investigation is ongoing and said it should not be influenced by speculation from the opposition parties.

Fiara represents the Civic Democrats (ODS) and requires at least 101 votes against him to be expelled. Today, the combined opposition consisting of that, freedom and direct democracy, does not have that many votes.
The vote was scheduled to take place today, but ODS member Marek Benda believes the actual voting process is likely to happen tomorrow.
