Kraken, a cryptocurrency exchange preparing for its 2026 IPO, is in talks with strategic investors at a $20 billion valuation, Bloomberg reported today.
The argument represents a major jump from Kraken’s recent $500 million funding round, valued at $15 billion. That round includes participation from Tribe Capital, CEO Arjun Sethi is personally investing in supporting Exchange expansion ahead of the planned public offering.
Kraken reported $410 million in second quarter revenue and $80 million in post-EBITDA revenue, up 18% year-on-year revenue. The exchange also acquired Ninjatrader for $1.5 billion to strengthen its Tokenized Assets and EU SME Banking offerings under MICA regulations.
