BlockStream CEO Adam Back is I’m sure The late Cypherpunk Hal Finney is not Nakamoto, the creator of Bitcoin.
I went back and pointed out a blog post by CASA CTO Jameson Lopp. This aims to prove that Finney is not the guy who started it all.
Finney has been a candidate for Satoshi for a long time, but Rop presented time-stamped evidence in 2023 to reject the story.
In April 2009, Finney ran a 10-mile race in Santa Barbara, with Satoshi responding with former Bitcoin contributor Mike Hearn. Lopp pointed to photographic evidence of Finney taking part in the race when the conversation took place.
In particular, the email between Hearn and Satoshi, which was later published, is exactly in line with the race timeline.
Finney, who was famous for his first Bitcoin transaction, has been unable to work since mid-2010 due to suffering from amyotrophic lateral sclerosis (ALS). Cypherpunk was originally diagnosed with a debilitating disease in 2009. However, the creators of Bitcoin maintained a high level of online activity in August 2010.
This kind of activity is virtually impossible as he barely could enter it at that time. Satoshi, meanwhile, contributed to the code and was actively involved in forum discussions. This means there was sufficient dexterity and mental focus.
Of course, going back, he claims he didn’t even create the original cryptocurrency either. The British cryptographer, famously cited in the Bitcoin white paper, has been one of Satoshi’s candidates for many years.
As Reported by U.Todayformer Binance CEO Changpeng Zhao recently suggested that Bitcoin could have been created by artificial intelligence (AI) from the future.
