Samson Mow, CEO of JAN3 and former CSO of Adam Back’s Blockstream, published a tweet on August 1, 2002, announcing that Back had invented what was later used as the basis for what became known as Bitcoin.
Strangely enough, many in the Crypto community believe that Cypherpunk’s legendary Adam is back in reality, and was Satoshi, the mysterious inventor of digital gold.
Hashcash celebrates its 23rd anniversary
23 years ago, on August 1st, Young Saifapank Adam, the owner of a PhD in Distributed Systems at the University of Exeter in the UK, released his white paper on Hashquash – Service Counter Major. Buck developed it to combat the rising wave of email spam and denial of service attacks. However, this idea was proposed by him a few years ago in 1997.

In Hashcash, the client must concatenate the random numbers several times with a string and hash this new string. You must then do so many times until a certain number of zero-based hashes are found.
Then, in 2008, Nakamoto atoshi adapted the concept first used in Hashkash to establish a Bitcoin mining proof mechanism to secure future BTC networks. Satoshi mentioned both the back and Hashcash in a Bitcoin white paper released in 2008.
Buck denies that he is a bitcoin inventor
Due to the direct connection between Hashcash and Bitcoin’s mining proof system, many came to believe that the mystical Nakamoto Atoshi was nothing but Adam Buck himself, who did not like not being associated with his most famous and revolutionary “inventions.”
However, this theory was rejected when experts analyzed Nakamoto’s works on the bitcointalk forum and compared them to the works on their backs. No similarities were found between the two. However, many still believe that Bitcoin was invented by Adambak. He continues to deny those claims. Back’s company BlockStream came up with the Bitcoin Lightning network.
