Robinhood, the commission-free trading platform, is giving away $500,000 worth of Dogecoin (DOGE) to users who participate in the Hood Holidays Countdown event, which just started tonight.
Apart from DOGE, a meme-inspired token that has grown to become one of the most widely recognized digital assets traded, the team is also offering prizes such as Rolex watches and Apple AirPods as part of the celebratory campaign.
However, on the first day of the event, many users said their Robinhood app experienced a glitch that prevented them from receiving their rewards within a five-minute period. Some people reported waiting in advance but were shown a blank screen and later told they had missed out on the offer.
@RobinhoodApp – What do you get? I joined today’s countdown, but I got a blank screen and couldn’t join the countdown. I waited a few minutes before the countdown and still couldn’t get it. pic.twitter.com/D4p7rX5L0H

The notification said there was a countdown until 8:30. I think it’s today because there’s no other date or time listed. This is where I am and there is nothing. @RobinhoodApp @AskRobinhood pic.twitter.com/bveycD7RhC
