Yellow, a crypto infrastructure company that builds a routing network for liquidity between markets, has finally broken its silence on the token in a publicly posted update. The startup quickly entered the news cycle after one of Ripple’s founders, Chris Larsen, famously poured about $10 million of his own money into the project, making it one of the largest private investments in the space he has disclosed.
Yellow therefore positions itself as a financial information exchange-based system designed to link blockchain with exchange intermediaries.
Chris Larsen @Ripple co-founder and executive chairman led the $10 million funding for Yellow. Please ask me why. The smartest financial institutions in the industry continue to be centered around their expanding global infrastructure.

Interestingly, while the company hasn’t actually mentioned anything about integrating XRP or Ripple, the technical direction is actually a pretty good fit, with the fourth-largest cryptocurrency already being used by market participants, who rely on quick settlements and abundant liquidity.
What is the relationship between Yellow and XRP?
The XRP community reacted for a simple reason. The ventures Larsen backs are seen as having high upside potential in their early positions, and Yellow is one of the few startups that Larsen has backed directly rather than through corporate channels. Those following Ripple’s history see these developments as optional exposure to what they see as a “second Ripple-type” opportunity, even if the business model is different.
Two things people were talking about in this new post were when the token launch would be and whether people who participated in past contribution rounds would still be included.
Overall, while Yellow has yet to reveal its release date, token model, or distribution terms, this short announcement was enough to reset expectations and position the company as one of the hottest infrastructure names heading into its first public milestone.
