Ondo Finance will expand its tokenized stocks business to Solana, bringing more than 200 tokenized U.S. stocks and exchange-traded funds to the high-speed blockchain for the first time, the company announced Wednesday.
This expansion comes as tokenized real-world assets continue to gain momentum across the cryptocurrency market and companies are increasingly looking to bring traditional financial products on-chain.
The move will expand Ondo’s platform, called Ondo Global Markets, beyond the Ethereum and BNB chains, which were launched in late 2025. With the rollout of Solana, Ondo will become the largest real world asset (RWA) issuer on the network by number of assets, the company claims.
“While we have seen early signs of demand for on-chain equity at Solana, the depth of liquidity and asset selection from the current version of tokenized equity remains limited,” Ian de Bord, President of Ondo Finance, told CoinDesk. “Ondo’s tokenized stocks are built to address this problem by bringing liquidity inherited from traditional exchanges and an extensive catalog of stocks and ETFs on-chain.”
The company says this will give Solana users access to tokenized versions of U.S. stocks and ETFs, with trading and discovery supported through existing Solana infrastructure.
Solana’s deployment significantly expands the range of tokenized assets available on the network, from technology and growth stocks to blue-chip stocks, broad market and sector ETFs, and commodity-related products. Ondo said the expansion aims to make traditional financial assets more accessible through on-chain infrastructure while maintaining price parity with traditional markets.
“We are excited to bring hundreds of on-chain stocks with Wall Street liquidity to Solana’s thriving ecosystem,” de Bode said in a press release shared with CoinDesk.
Since launching Ondo Global Markets on Ethereum last year, the platform has rapidly expanded across blockchains, reflecting growing interest in tokenized securities among crypto-native users and institutions.
“Given its scale and performance, expanding into Solana is a natural next step,” de Bode told CoinDesk.
