Seoul FinTech Lab, an incubator for fintech companies funded by the Seoul city government, announced a partnership with its Korean arm. $XRP Ledger (XRPL) ecosystem that supports up-and-coming builders in XRPL. The goal is to develop a team that can turn product ideas into real businesses built on XRPL.
According to a report in Korea Startup Post, Seoul FinTech Lab named the initiative “Korea Financial Innovation Program 2026.” Ripple is the main sponsor, and about 21 companies including venture capital and accelerators are participating as partners. The goal of these other companies is to connect South Korea’s blockchain ecosystem to global markets.
South Korea’s 2026 Financial Innovation Program
The innovation program will run for three months. Application and qualifying rounds are scheduled for April 1st to May 6th, after which 12 selected teams will advance to the main competition from May 4th to May 13th. Seoul Fintech Lab will host the finals on June 25th at Two IFC The Forum in Yeouido, Seoul. Applications can be made by individuals or teams.
Before the main program begins, organizers will host online sessions addressing technical onboarding and market trends. These sessions will run throughout April, with an offline briefing and insight meeting taking place on April 22nd.
During the program, participating teams will receive support such as business consulting, blockchain technology mentoring, and networking. Partners also provide legal support, investment screening, and invitations to overseas conferences. In addition, we will provide support for admission to the Seoul Fintech Lab Residency Program.
The organizers provide a dedicated community named Milgram to share onboarding materials covering XRPL technology. We also have content such as information on business expansion and regulatory trends, and 1:1 consulting. Individual participants can be paired with teams, and participants who advance to the main round will receive support to attract investment.
