London – Moonpay has announced Moontags, a new feature designed to remove the complexity of sending and receiving cryptocurrency. Instead of relying on long wallet addresses or choosing the right blockchain, users can now send funds instantly to personalized tags.

What is Moontags?
Moontags acts like a social media handle and acts as a unique identifier that allows MoonPay users to send or receive ciphers directly across supported blockchains. Each user is assigned a default Moontag when they sign up. This can be customized with your name and profile photo.
From there, sending or requesting funds becomes a problem of searching for tags. There is no risk of manually entering wallet addresses, choosing a chain, or sending it to the wrong account.
