Metaplanet has announced the expansion of its shareholder benefits program with a four-tier loyalty structure: Silver, Gold, Diamond and Nakamoto, determined by both the number of shares held by investors and their holding period.
Nakamoto’s top tier, named after the creator of Bitcoin’s pseudonym, is reserved for shareholders who have held 50,001 shares or more for at least 24 months. Entry level Silver status starts with 100 shares. The program is effective for shareholders of record as of June 30, 2026.

The company has partnerships with 13 companies and is heavily biased towards cryptocurrencies. Key offers include 20 million yen Bitcoin lottery and 20% APY through Coincheck $BTC Campaign via Binance Japan. OKCoin Japan offers transaction fee rebates of up to 150,000 yen. Blockstream and Tangem offer tiered discounts on their hardware wallets.

Metaplanet itself plans to host tiered events starting in January 2027. This includes the members-only lounge at Hotel Royal Oak Gotanda and the annual “Ohapura” dinner exclusively for Nakamoto holders.
This announcement sparked a positive response from Japanese retail investors regarding X. Comments included “Thanks for expanding,” and Metaplanet’s post racked up more than 162,000 views within hours.
Building tenacious shareholders
The move is part of a broader announcement on March 12 that also included the launch of two new subsidiaries. Metaplanet stock hit an intraday high of 393 yen on March 13, and then closed at 373 yen, an increase of 5.97% from the previous closing price.
