Real World Assets (RWA) specialist Ondo Finance (Ondo) extends its tokenized securities platform to the BNB Chain BNB$1,116.05brings over 100 US stocks and ETFs to one of the most active blockchain networks.
The move will allow BNB Chain’s 3.4 million daily users to buy and sell tokenized stocks of companies like Apple and Tesla, as well as popular ETFs, 24 hours a day through the Ondo Global Market.
These assets are primarily aimed at non-U.S. investors who want exposure to the U.S. market but may be blocked by geographic or regulatory barriers.
Tokenized stocks gained popularity earlier this year as digital brokerages and crypto exchanges such as Robinhood, Kraken, Bybit, and Gemini began trading stocks on-chain.
Ondo’s expansion onto the BNB chain puts it in closer competition with projects like Backed and Kraken’s xStocks, which also offer tokenized financial assets on BNB. This step towards the BNB chain further deepens the tokenized stock market’s reach into Asia and Latin America, where BNB has a strong user base.
The broader tokenized stock market has more than doubled since August and is now worth nearly $700 million, according to data from RWA.xyz. Since its founding in September, Ondo Global Markets has become one of the largest players in the space, with a total of around $320 million locked in, according to RWA.xyz.
