- $IOTA has announced an expert advisory board to drive TWIN’s real-world trade solutions, made up of appointed members from the UK trade industry.
- Members include Mark Johnson, former national director of Kuehne & Nagel, and Dr. Anna Jerzewska, founder of the trade and border consultancy.
$IOTA has launched a new expert advisory board to leverage industry experience into the development of the Trade World Information Network (TWIN) infrastructure.
As reported by CNF, TWIN has become one of the network’s signature developments, and 2026 marks a milestone year for the product as it moves beyond proof of concept to actual deployment. Earlier this month, we reported that TWIN went live across the UK border to digitize paper-heavy processes for the UK government’s trade and border authorities.
In order to further accelerate this momentum, $IOTA Recognizing that TWIN requires more than just networking skills, we have introduced a new board. It requires “the insight of experts who have spent years with first-hand experience with trade processes, tariff regimes, and regulatory frameworks.”

With their extensive experience across the UK trade ecosystem, they will help ensure that what we build for @TWINGlobalOrg is practical, interoperable and production-ready.

The Board of Directors is made up of six members, all with decades of experience in global trade. The first is Mark Johnson, a customs specialist with over 40 years of experience building logistics networks. The bulk of Mr. Johnson’s career was with Kuehne + Nagel, one of the world’s largest supply chain companies, where he served as a director for more than 20 years.
He also works with the British government and was one of its advisers during the stormy Brexit. He continues to work with the Department of Environment and Rural Affairs.
