The IOTA Foundation has announced surprise rewards for all investors and donors as it celebrates its 10th anniversary and achieves several milestones in its 10-year journey.
Since its introduction on Bitcointalk in October 2015, IOTA has been at the forefront of developing scalable, decentralized distributed ledgers designed for real-world applications.
Over the past decade, this protocol has evolved from a visionary concept to a technology with tangible impact. This has enabled digital identity systems, tokenized asset markets, DeFi initiatives, and supply chain transparency projects with global companies.
Backed by a growing network of developers and partners, we continue to play a key role in shaping the future of digital trade and finance.
CNF reports that IOTA’s Layer 1 network is currently being adopted across the region, including Africa, Europe, and Asia, underscoring its mission to provide real-world utility. We attribute the growth and progress of this project to the continued support of the IOTA community.
To commemorate the milestone, IOTA announced that it will distribute 10 million native tokens to various ecosystem stakeholders.

Further community distribution efforts include rewards for Genesis NFT holders and LiquidLink DeFi leaderboard contributors, with 750,000 tokens already airdropped to users on October 30th, based on a snapshot taken on October 24th.
Native IOTA stakers are also benefiting from this campaign. On October 30th, 2 million tokens were airdropped to eligible users, measured by staking amount and duration as of the October 24th snapshot. Exchange wallets and Foundation-related addresses have been excluded from this distribution.
