Coinbase expands its cryptocurrency, stock, and prediction market offerings with the launch of stock perpetual futures for eligible non-U.S. users.
The launch comes as perpetual futures have become widely adopted as investors use them to manage risk within the flat spot market, with monthly trading volume on decentralized exchanges expected to exceed USD 1.2 trillion by 2025.
The company said in a blog post Friday that the product is not available to Americans at this time, but “we are working to expand this product to additional regions in the future.”

The agreement can be accessed through Coinbase Advanced for retail users and Coinbase International Exchange for institutions. These offer leveraged, cash-settled exposure to major US stocks and indexes, including Apple and Nvidia, in a format familiar to crypto traders.

The launch follows Coinbase’s previous move to offer regulated crypto futures and 24/7 cash stocks in the U.S., bringing Calci-powered prediction markets to all 50 states. The company describes its platform as an “everything exchange” where users can switch between tokens, stocks, and event contracts.

Coinbase CEO Brian Armstrong said in January that the company’s top priority is to globally expand its full range of exchanges across crypto, equities, prediction markets and commodities, covering spots, futures and options.
Perpetual shares are currently available only to customers outside the United States. In Europe, Coinbase launched perpetual futures in early March for Coinbase Advanced users in 26 countries under the Financial Instruments Markets Directive entity.
