Cryptocurrency exchange Binance has announced the discontinuation of certain contracts on its futures platform. According to the announcement, the COIN-M APTUSD and OPUSD perpetual futures contracts traded on Binance Futures will expire on March 25, 2026 at 12:00 p.m.
The exchange states that all open positions will be automatically closed on the specified date, followed by the final settlement process. Once the payment process is completed, the relevant contract will be permanently deleted from the platform.
The underlying assets of the contract to be delisted include Aptos and Optimism. COIN-M type contracts based on these assets are derivative products that are collateralized by crypto assets.
Binance recommends users to close their positions before the specified date to avoid being affected by potential risks. Otherwise, automatic payment operations performed by the system may result in different results depending on market conditions.
Exchange officials said products on the platform are regularly reviewed and factors such as market liquidity, trading volumes and user experience influence such decisions.
Experts stress that such brilliant decisions are part of risk management in derivatives markets, and investors need to closely monitor the current status of the contracts they are trading.
