Zhao Changpeng (CZ), a leading figure in the crypto sector, said that within the next five years, crypto assets could become as popular as the internet. In an interview with Scott Melker, Zhao expressed his belief that cryptography will become an essential part of everyday life.
According to Zhao, as use cases expand and technology advances, cryptocurrencies will become more widely adopted and mainstream. In particular, CZ pointed out that he predicts that blockchain technology will not be limited to financial transactions, but will be widely used in various fields such as data storage.
Mr. Zhao also emphasized that artificial intelligence (AI) will greatly contribute to the cryptocurrency and blockchain ecosystem, saying that AI technology will accelerate the software development process and facilitate the emergence of new applications. CZ also suggested that AI agents could become one of the main actors using cryptocurrencies in the future.
Zhao cited the Internet, blockchain, and artificial intelligence as the three most important technology fields today. He said countries that fail to adopt any of these could face a significant competitive disadvantage, stressing the need for governments and institutions to invest more in these technologies.
While experts say that widespread use of cryptocurrencies requires regulatory clarity, easy-to-use applications, and stronger security infrastructure, Zhao’s predictions point to the sector’s long-term growth potential.
