Axelar Network, a decentralized blockchain designed to enhance interoperability and scalability between various blockchain ecosystems, today announced a strategic partnership with Solana, a high-performance blockchain known for its scalability, rapid transaction speeds, and low fees. This partnership allows Axelar to integrate its decentralized interoperability network with Solana’s extensive Web3 infrastructure for application chains, enhancing cross-chain utility and liquidity on the Axelar platform.
Powered by its native token (AXL), Axelar is a decentralized interoperable network that acts as a universal router, enabling efficient asset transfer and secure communication between over 60 blockchains. In cross-chain Web3 environments, isolated networks impede both on-chain liquidity and developer applications across a limited number of platforms. Axelar solves this blockchain isolation problem by providing a secure and programmable layer for multi-chain token transfers and smart contract invocations.
Solana is connected to Axela.
This integration is currently running on testnet. @solana It’s time to start building and exploring cross-chain connections that will unlock your ecosystem.

Axelar integrates into Solana through an amplifier
Solana is the destination chain in the above integration and is the new home of the Axelar network. Known for its high processing speeds and low transaction fees, Solana hosts a rapidly growing ecosystem of NFTs, DeFi, memecoins, GameFi, and Web3 projects, making it an ideal blockchain for high-liquid networks like Axelar for more cross-chain utility. By integrating into Solana, Axelar increases the network’s presence in the Web3 world and makes the network a more cross-chain capable platform.
According to today’s announcement, this integration allows Axelar to launch a public testnet on Solana and deploy assets and data into the multi-chain Web3 space. Based on an X post shared with Axelar, the testnet currently running on Solana provides network access points, documentation at doc.chain.Axelar.com, interoperability with standard Solana development tools, and integrations from various infrastructure partners.
The Axelar network is currently integrated into Solana via Interchain Amplifier, a smart contract toolkit that seamlessly and quickly makes connections between different blockchains and other chains. This integration enables cross-chain communication and token transfer between Solana and other chains in the Axelar ecosystem.
Advancing the future of Web3 cross-chain connectivity
The integration of Axelar and Solana marks an important step towards a more interconnected and secure blockchain ecosystem. By integrating the Solana Web3 ecosystem, Axelar paves the way for widespread adoption of cross-chain tokens and ISO messaging standards.
With this integration, Axelar users can now move assets between Solana and other interoperable chains using Interchain Amplifier, a solution that facilitates effective and seamless multi-chain communication between different blockchains.
This strategic partnership aims to drive broader expansion beyond the Axelar network’s native chain. By leveraging Solana’s cross-chain infrastructure and Axelar’s interoperability network, the two platforms highlight their commitment to accelerating the growth of the Web3 cross-chain ecosystem.
