In a conversation about X, RippleX software engineer Mayukha Vadari provides new context as to why it’s so eagerly awaited. $XRP There appears to be a delay in the lending protocol.
The XRPL lending protocol is built on two complementary components: the Single Asset Vault and the lending protocol. These are defined in XLS-65 and XLS-66 respectively and still require validator approval.
In the X discussion that touched on on-chain finance, $XRP XRPL verifier Ledger Grape noted the slow progress of the XLS-65 and XLS-66 fixes, saying they “appear to still be on dUNL’s trouble list.” “The number of votes has remained the same for quite some time,” he added.

XLS-65, a modified version of “SingleAssetVault”, creates a structure for aggregating assets from multiple depositors and is intended for use in on-chain lending protocols.
XLS-66 is a modified “lending protocol” that enables on-chain fixed-term unsecured loans using pooled funds from a single asset vault. This implementation relies on off-chain underwriting and risk management to assess a borrower’s creditworthiness, but provides configurable peer-to-peer loans.
The proposed amendments to the Loan Protocol still have 20% agreement, with 60% still needed to reach a majority. Meanwhile, the “SingleAssetVault” amendment received 22.86% of the votes, but is still far from the required 80% threshold.
This discussion is as follows $XRP The Ledger Foundation announced that it is collaborating with vs1 to build an open-source reference app for permitted and compliant lending. $XRP ledger. The app leverages native primitives such as credentials, allowed domains, single asset vaults, and lending protocols.
Ripple engineers say they are “fixing it”
Ripple engineer Mayuka Vadali hints at a possible reason why voting on the XLS-65 and XLS-66 amendments appears to be stalled. Vadari noted that the upcoming “fixCleanup3_2_0” upgrade will have several fixes for both fixes, and emphasized that safety is a priority.
“There are some fixes that many of them are waiting for in fixCleanup3_2_0. Safety first,” Vadari replied.
The fixCleanup3_2_0 fix introduced in XRPL version 3.2.0 bundles bug fixes that affect single asset vaults, lending protocols, permissioned DEXs, multipurpose tokens, and permissioned domains.
