Walrus, a high-performance storage and data availability protocol built on the Sai blockchain, announced a new partnership with Allium Labs, an enterprise-grade blockchain data platform. In a recent post on X, Walrus said Allium will bring over 65 TB of indexed historical records from major blockchains to its on-chain data layer.

Allium provides indexed data from top blockchains
According to Walrus Protocol, the indexed data includes Bitcoin, Sui, Ethereum, Arbitrum, Tron, and $XRP. He explained that the dataset is standardized and financially compatible, noting that it comes from a platform trusted by Visa and Stripe. Walrus further said that the dataset will remain encrypted and will only be unlocked after purchase.
Meanwhile, Walrus said the collaboration with Allium aims to provide institutions with new ways to access blockchain data with “unparalleled verifiability and availability.” Additionally, it aims to give construction companies access to agency-level data through dashboards and developer tools.
Make your data verifiable and always available
Rebecca Simmons, managing executive at the Walrus Foundation, believes there needs to be a verifiable basis for data to support high-stakes financial decisions. Simmons said Allium is a long-established company that already serves some of the biggest names in the global fintech industry. She believes that partnering with Walrus provides an opportunity for Allium to make that data verifiable and always available.
Meanwhile, Allium CEO Ethan Chan has expressed his desire to make selected datasets publicly available through Walrus, while experimenting with decentralized infrastructure as an additional distribution layer for institutional-grade blockchain data.
It is important to note that Walrus is the work of Mysten Labs, the team behind the Sui blockchain. It is designed to serve as a verifiable data platform for builders of AI and on-chain finance. The partnership with Allium leverages some of Walrus’ core capabilities, including accessibility during node failures and on-chain data validation.
