Layer 3 blockchain Orbs announced that Gryps has integrated Perpetual Hub Ultra to bring institutional-grade, on-chain perpetual futures trading to the Sei network, expanding access to advanced derivatives infrastructure designed for execution certainty, capital efficiency, and deterministic risk management.
According to an announcement shared with Finbold on January 27, the integration will enable Gryps to deploy a fully managed persistence stack on Sei using Orbs’ layer 3 infrastructure alongside Symmio’s smart contract system.
This setup eliminates the need for Gryps to build its own complex backend infrastructure and provides core components such as hedging, clearing, oracle pricing, and a professional trading interface.
Bringing the next evolution of derivatives trading to Se
Built specifically for perpetual futures, Gryps is positioned as a specialized trading infrastructure rather than a general-purpose DeFi application. This integration gives users access to intent-based execution orchestrated by Orbs’ infrastructure. It is designed to optimize capital efficiency and execution certainty, including during periods of market volatility.
“This demonstrates that advanced on-chain derivatives infrastructure can be deployed in a way that meets the operational requirements of professional traders.” said Ran Hammer, Chief Business Officer, Orbs. “Integrating Perpetual Hub Ultra will enable Gryps to offer institutional-grade perpetual trading on SEI with a modular turnkey stack that prioritizes execution quality and predictable risk.”
According to Orbs, Perpetual Hub Ultra is built on an earlier version of Perpetual Hub that is already running in multiple decentralized trading venues. The Ultra version extends these capabilities by allowing the platform to route liquidity from both on-chain and off-chain sources (including centralized exchanges) while keeping settlement and execution on-chain.
This integration aims to support Orbs’ turnkey perpetual infrastructure and enable decentralized venues to compete with centralized exchanges on performance and user experience while remaining fully on-chain.
