Reef Chain, an EVM-compatible blockchain aimed at opening up Web3 to general consumers, has declared one of its largest three-year principal partnerships with Crawley Town Football Club. The agreement begins with the 2025-2026 season and marks Leaf Chain’s first significant move into sports marketing at an international level.

Silva said that because soccer has the power to unite fans regardless of their cultural background, it is the perfect platform to demonstrate the power of blockchain to improve everyday communication.

This is in contrast to many commercial sponsorships, where connections are established based on long-term community involvement. Silva has been part of the WAGMI United online community for many years and has been actively watching matches alongside other supporters since 2022.
Silva was first introduced to WAGMI United’s principal community manager, Entitled., who introduced him to Crawley Town’s vice chairman, Ben Levin. These informal relationships eventually evolved into serious discussions and negotiations, resulting in a three-year agreement. This real foundation is considered by the club to be one of the strengths of the joint venture.
