On November 16, 2025, the introduction of Bitcoin marked a new milestone for American businesses. American Bitcoin Corp (ABTC) has become one of the largest companies in the United States, ranking among the top 25 companies that own Bitcoin. The news was announced by crypto analyst account CryptosRus, who presented the latest information on BitcoinTreasuries.NET.
On the list is Strategy (formerly MicroStrategy), which leads with 641,692 BTC and continues to lead as the leader in Bitcoin acquisition by companies around the world. This strategy can be considered one of the leading examples under the leadership of Michael Saylor, when other companies consider Bitcoin as digital gold.
ABTC rises to top 25 with 4,004 BTC – Scaramucci Family
With a major funding round in mid-2025 that included over $100 million in funding from the Scaramucci family, ABTC, ticker symbol ABTC, officially entered the top 25 list with the 25th goal with 4,004 BTC. This is a historic investment made by AJ Scaramucci of Solari Capital with participation from Anthony Scaramucci, and will change not only the industry but also the broader institutional acceptance of ABTC.
Major investors:
- AJ Scaramucci (Solari Capital Lead Investor)
- Anthony Scaramucci (Founder of SkyBridge Capital)
- Tony Robbins, Charles Hoskin, Grant Cardone, Peter Diamandis (and many more).
Mining activity and direct purchases of BTC signal ABTC’s desire to compete with larger companies such as Strategy and Marathon (MARA) in the long term. The company has close ties to the Trump family, with co-founders Eric Trump and Donald Trump Jr. also said to be investors.
Bitcoin government bonds for emerging institutional investors
What was originally MicroStrategy’s 2020 Bitcoin bet has since evolved into an international business competition. By November 2025, the total number of BTC held by US companies will be in the hundreds of thousands of bits (both treasury and mining).
Why businesses buy:
- inflation hedge
- Long-term preservation of value
- Reduce the risk of fiat currency exposure
Obtain institutional approval
Scarcity (only 21 million BTC in existence): Bitcoin is considered by these companies as a cash alternative. The latter approach has become more aggressive as inflation concerns and geopolitical instability have made traditional financial institutions more interested in uncensored and borderless investments.
New entry and global expansion
The top 25 list is dominated by American companies, but also includes companies such as Japan-based Metaplanet and Hong Kong-based Boyaa Interactive, indicating that companies’ Bitcoin strategies are going global.
Other major competitors include:
- Block, Inc. (formerly Square) leader Jack Dorsey is actively mining and holding BTC.
- Hut 8, Canaan, and other mining companies with large self-mining Bitcoins.
Bitcoin is currently trading in the 95,000 range, according to market trackers. The recent bullish direction in BTC, along with whale holdings and liquidity concentration, is still impacting entry points for companies. If Bitcoin were to rise to 15% of its current level, short-term liquidations are estimated to exceed $10 billion, giving companies further incentive to secure their holdings.
