Plasma Bridge, which allows the movement of BONE tokens between Sybarium and Ethereum, Now back online.
According to the announcement, the new version of the bridge provides a higher level of security and better loss prevention. It has already undergone multiple layers of testing.
Main improvements
The bridge now has the ability to block addresses that appear suspicious. In this way, malicious parties are prohibited from exploiting the bridge.
Addresses flagged as potentially harmful will no longer be able to interact with the bridge.
On top of that, there is currently a 7-day withdrawal delay. This means there is a buffer before all BONE withdrawals are completed. This is to ensure security teams have enough time to respond to suspicious activity.
But of course, there is a noticeable trade-off in user experience, as you have to wait a full week for the transaction to complete.
Bounty update
As reported by U.Today, Shibarium recently suffered a significant hack that resulted in the loss of approximately $4 million worth of various cryptocurrencies.
The attacker borrowed BONE tokens to gain majority control of the validator keys, allowing them to approve fraudulent transactions.
Additionally, the attackers stole $700,000 worth of KNINE tokens from the K9 Finance DAO project.
A final bounty is offered to recover KNINE tokens from addresses controlled by the attacker. The hacker was initially offered a $229,000 reward and legal immunity.
