At the Token2049 event in Singapore, Vitalik Buterin – Ethereum co-creator and Hashkey Group Dr. Xiao Feng announced a new initiative. It is called the Ethereum Applications Guild (EAG).
The goal of this is to connect developers, researchers and businesses within the Ethereum community. They want to create a better way for everyone to openly and sustainably cooperate. EAG is not a new company or a traditional fund. Instead, it is a public call for cooperation.
The partners will use Shanhaiwoo, a joint project that has been running for three years as a place to test and develop new applications. The main vision is to help Ethereum ecosystem build more practical and widely used applications beyond its infrastructure focus.
The initiative is currently in its early stages. The founders are currently invited to join other groups around the world. They are calling on technology companies, developer communities and research institutions to help create this new model for collaboration.
