Frankfurt, July 2, 2025 – Heidelberger Beteiligungsholding AG has announced that it has begun its strategic accumulation of SQD tokens. The German investment company whose shares are traded on the Frankfurt Stock Exchange (ticker: IPOK) will soon be renamed SQD.AI Strategies AG, indicating its commitment to supporting SQD’s data network.
The acquisition of SQD tokens, launched by Heidelberger BeteiligungSholding, includes a combination of OTC trading and market purchases, marking the launch of a broader long-term investment strategy. During fiscal year 2025, the company plans to raise up to 50 million euros to acquire, retain and wager SQD tokens, strengthening its intention to support and grow the SQD ecosystem.
Chairman Clemens Giacopicche, who made the original investment in SQD on behalf of Piecchi’s family office, said, “We’re seeing strong crypto overtakes in multiple ways. In particular, the broader crypto market has acquired a regulatory framework for two landmarks that are expected to pass the US Senate in July. The SQD is independently located at the heart of both.”
“This is a crucial moment for SQD,” said Marcel Fohrmann, co-founder of SQD.AI. “The commitment from the SQD.AI strategy reflects the growing perception that real-time intelligent data infrastructure is currently the core of its competitive advantage. As AI systems grow into the scale of more autonomous and tokenized economies, demand for high-performance, on-shain native data is accelerated, and SQD is being built to meet that demand.”
The following name change to SQD.AI Strategies AG highlights that it focuses on becoming the main listed vehicle for exposure to SQD.
