Filecoin’s Fil tokens increased by 30% after Korea’s Exchange Upbit launched its list of FIL trading pairs.
The token reached $3.49 from Coinbase’s $2.71 and had recently been trading around $3.00. Daily trading volumes rose 68% to $303 million, according to CoinmarketCap.
In a tweet, Upbit said the FIL/KRW trading pair went live at 07:30 UTC.
Tokens listed on Korean exchanges are often traded at premiums as this means that strict South Korea’s financial management is difficult to get in and out of the country, leading to a lack of opportunities for arbitration.
