Metaplanet announced Trump’s appointment on March 21, confirming that he will be joining as the first official member of the new advisory committee. The board aims to integrate the influential voices committed to financial innovation and advances in adoption of Bitcoin.
The company said the move reflects its commitment to building a top-class advisory team. Trump brings experience in multiple industries and is increasingly speaking about Bitcoin and digital assets.

According to Google Finance, the news sparked investor interest, increasing Metaplanet’s shares by more than 17% to 4,730 yen.

Eric Trump’s appointment appears to represent a deliberate step in Metaplanet’s international growth strategy.
After listing its stock on OTCQX in December, the company has been working to increase global awareness and attract US investors.
