- Almost half of the 100 million sxt tokens were billed shortly after release.
- Strong billing activities from Link Stakers show intense involvement ahead of the August 6 deadline.
ChainLink’s reward program Season Genesis paid almost half of the overall available allocation in just a few weeks of the billing period. Of the 100 million available space and time (SXT) tokens available to eligible link stakers on May 8, 2025, 47% of claimants have already been collected. This incentive is still available for a short period of time, with a billing deadline of August 6, 2025.

The Season Genesis Event joins larger initiatives on the chain link side and encourages ongoing engagement in the network. These incentives are closely linked to the growing relationship between space and time (SXT) and ChainLink, allocating a substantial amount of token supply to fund the program.
A total of 60% of the offered SXT available in this round are currently being billed. This intake rate indicates a high involvement on the part of the staking community as link owners get the opportunity to assert SXT as a reward for continued support.
For ChainLink rewards see the first 100m drop
Of the token supply of total and time tokens, there was 4% reserved for the ChainLink ecosystem (up to 200 million Sxts had been added). Of these, 100 million sxts were released during the current round. The remaining tokens, including those not billed from the continuous distribution, will be used later in the same program.
ChainLink launched its rewards program on May 5, 2025. This was added to the ChainLink build program, allowing projects that could reward members of the ecosystem. It is emphasized that Link stakeholders, which were active as of March 31, 2025, will be rewarded with a 90-day claim.
The program aims to increase long-term involvement while further strengthening the infrastructure of the ChainLink network. Space and Time was one of the first build participants to join the program in 2022. Being part of this reward system underscores the interest in bringing additional real-world data into decentralized applications.
Project Lead highlights the value of collaboration
Scott Dykstra, co-founder of Space and Time, spoke about the rewards program as a turning point. Both the launch and build program of ChainLink Rewards represent the turning points of the two communities, referring to the collaborative momentum gained through the build program.
Johann Eid, Chief Business Officer at Chainlink Labs, has further elaborated on the partnership of space and time as a further crystallization of the prominent development of the industry and a larger vision for what unions are aiming to fulfill.
“It’s very exciting to see collaboration between space and time lead to such a fundamentally important initiative for our industry,” Johann Eid said.
Apart from the distribution of instant tokens, the program supports engagement from a variety of Web3 projects through testing and providing exposure to technical tools. Fees paid by participating projects will fund in turn funds to maintain and expand ChainLink’s infrastructure.
